View point: regulation of the Swiss financial market place

This event is organized with the joint degree program Master of Science in Quantitative Finance of UZH and of ETH.

PRMIA Zurich is proud to invite you to an evening with two highly recognized speakers, who will share their experience and views on critical regulatory issues impacting the Swiss Market Place. To begin, Hans Geiger, Professor Emeritus of the University of Zurich, will discuss competitive disadvantages of small banks imposed by current and future regulation. Following, Daniel Zuberbühler, former Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FINMA and current KPMG Senior Financial Consultant, will address the very current and controversial issue of a mandatory leverage ratio for financial institutions, in particular the role that this could potentially play in stabilizing institutions deemed “too-big-to-fail”. Finally, in a Q&A session and following apéro, participants are welcome to ask questions and actively participate in the ongoing discussion.
